Athletic Ladies welcome Bradford Park Avenue to The Ings for a 2pm kick-off in the next game in the West Riding County Womens League. Looking at the weather app, it shows that it should be a sunny afternoon, but cold as well, so wrap up warm!
The ladies put in an impressive performance last week against Tingley Athletic and despite losing 4-2, the signs of a good team are certainly starting to emerge, and they will be looking to continue this against Bradford.
Looking at the form guide, over the past five league games coming into this match, we can see that our visitors have a slight advantage.
At present, Bradford sit three places above us in 6th position. They have picked up four points from a possible eighteen, but have yet to win on the road. Away from their Weetwood Playing Fields home, they have played just the two games with the results being a 6-4 defeat against Yorkshire Amateur and a 3-3 draw against Brighouse Athletic FC Ladies. Despite the lack of games, they have scored an impressive 7 goals (avg. 3.5 goals per game) but have also conceded 9 (avg. 4.5 goals per game).
Should Athletic be successful in claiming all the points, then it will lift Danny Redshaw’s team into 7th place, dependant on other results, whilst a defeat will keep the team rooted to the bottom of the league.
Taking control of this game is Mr Warren Coates. This will be Mr Coates second game in charge of us, as he was the man in the middle during our 5-4 cup defeat against Thackley AFC Ladies. We wish both our visitors and the official a pleasant time whilst they are at The Ings.
Please come and visit our club bar at the Wetherby Sports Association Club before, at half time and following the game. There is a great choice of drinks to enjoy and sport will be showing on the big screen TV’s, it’s a perfect way to unwind after the match.
