PREVIEW v Yorkshire Amateur (Development Squad)

2 months ago By Pete Arnett

Stern Starting Test For Boss And His Side!

Tomorrow evening sees Martin Powell lead his team out at The Ings for their first Pre-Season friendly against a strong Yorkshire Amateur Development Team. The match has a 6:45pm kick-off (changed from the original 6:30pm start time) and, according to BBC weather, it should take place in light cloud and sunny spells!

Our opponents have already proved that they will be a challenging side as they are coming to us off the back of a strong and impressive 5-1 win over Harrogate Town’s Under 21 side. Manager Craig Ogilvie will be wanting his side to show the same ruthlessness in front of goal again, hopefully we can stop them from achieving this!

It will be a good opportunity for Martin to see his squad in action and hopefully there will be some new faces, some returning ones and plenty of familiar ones to cheer on! Whatever happens, the new boss will certainly be assessing his side and running his eyes over all positions on the pitch!

Please come on down and support the lads as they look to try and kick off their pre-season with a good result over very tough opposition.
